Before she passed, my Oma wrote down a series of quotes worth remembering. Fourteen years later, I redesigned her book with the love, care and respect that I believe it deserves.
Challenge
Elevate the design of Oma’s book whilst staying true to her original vision. The white orchid held a special significance in Oma’s life. It became a motif throughout her garden and her home, before making its mark on the cover of the first edition of this book.

Solution
I designed an elegant, sophisticated and minimal book that reflects the philosophy of its author, my grandmother. Her legacy lives on through the memories cherished by family and friends, and through her wisdom expressed in this collection of quotes.
